EVER CHANGING WORLD I RIVER DELTA

The Colorado River is the longest river in southwestern North America with a length of 2334 km which also carved the Grand Canyon.
In northern Mexico the river forms a river delta ending in the gulf of California. The river delta describes the last section of the river where it expands over a fast area before entering the ocean. Here wetlands created by the stream are offering a freshwater supply for migratory birds and other species in an area where rain is seldom and the climate is dry. Due to the high amount of water consumption upwards the stream, the river water often doesn’t reach the entire are of the river delta, causing parts of it to dry up.
